Series: Make Room

Book: Acts

Scripture: Acts 2

What happens when we make room for God to move? In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit fills ordinary people with extraordinary power, transforming a gathering of believers into a movement that would change the world. God is still moving today—and He’s inviting us to clear out the distractions, open our hearts, and make room for His presence, His power, and His purpose.

In this message, we’ll discover what it looks like to create space for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives and through our church. When we surrender control and make room for God, we make room for transformation, community, courage, and mission. Come expectant. Come ready. Make room for what God wants to do.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What stuck out in today’s message? What did you find challenging and encouraging? Did you learn anything new?
  2. Read Acts 2:42-47. What stands out to you about this new church? What do they value? What happened because of their actions according to the passage?
  3. What are the barriers to you making room this fall?
  4. Pray and think with God about what you would hope your relationships, time with God, habits, and schedule look like in December? What do you need to add/change/remove as your next step to make room?
